Story
Zeus, 8 months old (est DOB June 2025), neutered male, Retriever mixed breeds, currently weighs 23 pounds. We are a little unsure how big he will get when full grown. We think he is a blend of several breeds which will likely impact his size. He is currently in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport once an adopter is approved.
Zeus is an 8-month-old mixed breed puppy who has shown incredible resilience after a very difficult start to life. He and his siblings were abandoned in a wooded area outside San Antonio, where they survived by seeking shelter from the elements and scavenging for food. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan discovered the litter and brought them to safety.
Now thriving in a loving foster home, Zeus is learning the comforts and routines of indoor life. He is making great progress with crate training, beginning to understand house manners, and soaking up the joy of toys, soft beds, and regular meals. His foster describes him as affectionate, gentle, and eager to bond, with a naturally sweet and people-oriented personality.
Zeus loves car rides (his absolute favorite!), daily walks, and outdoor adventures. He enjoys being close to his people and is a true cuddle bug who melts right into you. With continued structure, positive reinforcement, and opportunities to explore the world, Zeus will continue to grow into a confident and devoted companion.
