Story
Connor is a male golden retriever about six years old. He came to us underweight at 49 lbs. He has steadily put on weight and has been neutered. He is light heartworm positive. At this time we are treating him with doxycycline and proheart and will reevaluate in six months. He can go into a local home during this time, or a commutable distance where we can heartworm treat the dog if he does not test heartworm negative within one year. Connor spent a short time in my home with multiple other dogs and did well. He is a very happy dog with all people he meets. He has not been evaluated with children. We would appreciate a foster to adopt home who might be compatible with this very nice dog. His adoption fee is $300 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard. Story
Red is an 28 month old 60 lb golden retriever mix. He is very outgoing and friendly. He is getting along with other dogs and is being neutered today. Red is an exuberant dog who needs some basic puppy training as far as learning commands and not jumping up. Red tested very light positive on his heartworm test. We have started him on doxycycline and gave him a six month proheart shot. He can be adopted locally and we will revisit the treatment plan At that time. The rescue will cover the immiticide treatment if indicated.
