***RPSM DOES NOT HAVE THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT BARB AT (269-425-9310)*** Hi! My name is Scotty and I am a very sweet and handsome boy looking for my forever home. I am a Poodle mix and currently weigh about 50 lbs. The vet says I am between 2-3 years old. I have had a rough time lately; I was found wandering alone and was quite thin and very matted. A Good Samaritan took me in, gave me a safe place to stay, got me to a groomer to have me trimmed up and got me to a vet for some needed veterinary care. I have completely healed from Lymes Disease that I had earlier. I am currently on Apoquel as I appear to have skin allergies, but my skin looks great now; I responded very well to the meds. I was neutered and had my tail docked on Dec 5th and I’m all healed. I had my Rabies shot (3 year) and my other shots up to date. I will receive the Trio Simparica Chew (heartworm prevention) on Jan 1st. I am not at all food aggressive; if my foster mom takes my bowl away while I am eating, I just step back. I will overeat so my food needs to be measured out. I take food and treats very gently from my foster mom’s hand. I am crate trained and I know a few commands, and I appear to be a smart boy who can learn much more. I will need a fenced in yard as I do like to explore. I just want a family of my own to love. Story
Danny is a 2-year-old English Springer Spaniel. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and will continue to have him until a suitable, loving home is found. I have not registered him with the AKC. He loves water play and playing tug of war with his toys. Danny does well when he is crated and usually just sleeps during car rides. He tolerates cats fairly well but will chase them (but has never harmed one). He was brought into a household with dogs, but as he has matured, displays aggression towards them. These dogs are elderly and cant handle his aggressive tendencies. He has caused injuries to them. In an attempt to curb his aggression, I did enlist the help of a professional trainer. That was met with only limited success, but it did improve his obedience skills. I also sought the vet s help and he was prescribed Prozac. He REALLY loves people and likes to play with kids. He just doesn’t tolerate other dogs and will aggressively resource guard around them.
