He's a happy young puppy with plenty of growing, playing, learning, and exploring still ahead of him. Truffle is good with other dogs and children, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown. At six months old, Truffle is at a wonderful stage of puppyhood. He's beginning to leave the tiny baby stage behind but is still very much a puppy. His personality will continue to develop as he grows, and his future family will have an important role in helping him become a confident, well-mannered adult dog. Water Dog breeds are often known for being intelligent, active, playful, affectionate, and highly engaged with their people. Depending on his particular mix, Truffle may enjoy a combination of physical activity, mental challenges, interactive games, and plenty of family companionship. Most importantly, Truffle needs a family ready to embrace everything that comes with raising a puppy—not just the adorable moments, but the training, patience, and lifelong responsibility too. Puppy Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At six months old, Truffle is still learning how to navigate the world. His adopter should be prepared to continue teaching him all the skills he'll need as an adult dog. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so his family should be ready to work on: House training Leash manners Basic commands Recall Appropriate chewing Calm greetings Household boundaries Positive socialization Building confidence Learning how to settle and relax Puppies need patience, repetition, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
