Story
Meet Higby, a gentle giant with a heart just as big as his paws. This sweet boy is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and has a naturally calm, easygoing demeanor that makes him a comforting presence to have around. Whether you’ve had a long day or just need a quiet companion, Higby has a way of helping everything feel a little more relaxed. Higby enjoys playtime and will happily engage with his dog friends, but he’s just as content hanging out nearby, soaking up the moment. He walks beautifully on leash, making him a great companion for neighborhood strolls or leisurely outings. His gentle nature and good manners make him a joy to spend time with both at home and out in the world. He would love a home that gives him opportunities to stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy some fresh air, but he’s ultimately happiest just being near his people. If you’re looking for a kind, steady, and loving companion who brings both calm and quiet joy to your life, Higby might be your perfect match. Higby is a 2-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Higby is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Pinto Bean! Him and his sister, Chickpea, were both once strays on the streets of Texas (hence their bad skin). They have been saved and medically treated and are now in Colorado! Pinto Bean has been an absolute sweetie pie! He has truly wowed his foster mom by showing no fear and adapting to life in an apartment so beautifully. He is crate trained, house trained, and has let strangers and vet staff handle him with no issues. He is set to be a big boy - his paws are huge! He loves meeting new people and dogs and will show his playful side out and about on walks. He is very curious - he has a blast bird and squirrel watching. If you are looking for a “gentle giant” - Pinto Bean is your guy! He is a playful and energetic big boy! He is great with other dogs that love to play and not great with cats as he doesn't understand that they don't want to play with him as well. If you have kids, they will need to be older so he doesn't knock them over and hurt them. Medically- he is clear of tick disease and HW and in good shape minus needing his fur to grow back. All POSO Dogs come with: • Spay/neuter • Age-appropriate vaccinations • Fecal and 4DX testing • Any other medical needs addressed prior to adoption • Training started in their foster home • Starter supplies (food, treats, leash, collar) • Training materials, local coupons, and dog-sitter recommendations
We'll also keep you updated on Chickpea's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Chickpea - Pintos sister! These two were both once strays on the streets of Texas (hence their bad skin) But have been saved and medically treated and are just the friendliest dogs Chickpea is a total sweetheart! She has almost mastered potty training and has learned "Sit". She has learned "Off" since she can be a counter surfer and likes to give you "high fives" so she needs gentle reminders. She is great on leash and likes other dogs and people. She sleeps through the night and enjoys her crate. She's smart and eager to please her person. Her overall temperament is shy, submissive, happy and playful. **Good with other dogs and good around cats **Walks well on leash - loves to go for small hikes **Older kids would be best given her size Medically they are clear of tick disease and HW and over all in good shape minus needing their fur to grow back All POSO Dogs come with: • Spay/neuter • Age-appropriate vaccinations • Fecal and 4DX testing • Any other medical needs addressed prior to adoption • Training started in their foster home • Starter supplies (food, treats, leash, collar) • Training materials, local coupons, and dog-sitter recommendations
