Onyx is handsome guy who is ready to find his forever family. He loves people, is good with the other dogs he has met so far and loves to play ball! This guy lives for walks and adventures. He is a very skinny 120 lbs, but he has already gained weight since he came in. He cannot wait for his retirement home to be loved and cared for the way he always should have been. ♥

Story
Rasputin is the coolest looking dog. It seems that Rasputin had an owner that used to bring him running with her to the local park. It was at that local park where he was picked up as a stray. A local resident recognized him and brought him into the OC shelter. The local resident stated that she saw him at the park alone in the morning and when she returned to check on him in the afternoon, he was still alone. The resident also stated that his physical appearance had declined significantly since she used to see him running with his owner. While we do not know what happened to his owner, we know he was there waiting for her. Rasputin was scared when he was brought to the shelter and because he was barking they used a catch pole on him, which is terrifying for any dog. He barked and growled at anyone that approached him, which wound u getting him mislabeled as aggressive and listed for euthanasia. He was going to be euthanized in a couple of hours when he was brought to our attention by a shelter volunteer. He might not be a puppy, but do not the age of six years fool you! Rasputin's still got it and he outran a couple of my 2 year old Shepards on a pack walk the other day. He is so full of life and love for people, he deserves a human who will give him the love and loyalty that he unconditionally gave his past owner as he waited for her in the park.
