Story
This beauty is Cielo! Cielo is an approximately 4-year-old female Whippet mix with a gentle, affectionate nature and a quiet strength that makes her truly special. She has overcome a very difficult past and is now healthy, happy, and ready for the PERFECT forever home. When rescued, Cielo was severely emaciated at only 25 lbs. and suffering from a long-term, untreated foot injury. With proper medical care, nutrition, and time, she has made a remarkable recovery, is now 50 lbs., and has blossomed into a loving, graceful companion. Cielo is affectionate, playful, and enjoys soft beds, sunny windows, and spending time with her people. She forms strong bonds and does best with a calm, predictable routine. Like many Sighthounds, she can experience separation anxiety and would thrive in a home where someone is home often and enjoys spending time with their fur kids. Cielo would LOVE to have another playful sighthound in the home, as she is most confident and happy with a canine companion similar to her. Her play style can be a bit odd and takes the right understanding doggy friend! She also has a strong prey drive, so no cats or small animals. She will require a securely fenced back yard & a home check is REQUIRED. Cielo is looking for a loving, committed home that understands the needs of sighthounds and is ready to provide companionship, patience, and lots of spoiling. Cielo is house, crate, and leash trained. She is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250.
