Story
Sheepdog/Red Heeler/Lab mix looking for a good home without children. Baloo is a 10.5 month old great dog. Very happy. He recently got a hair cut, but i showed a picture of his natural full coat. Shorter hair picture coming! He needs a structured home as he has just come out of 2 weeks of obedience training. It is going GREAT. He can sit, stay, come, go to "place" or his bed, fetch and heel. The reason I am unable to keep him is because I have a 7 year old special needs child which doesn't give Baloo the structure He needs short term for his success. Baloo has shown resource guarding which also led to the training and he has bit previously. His behavior is mproved significantly with the training. It has never been severe or required any medical attention.Fully vaccinated, potty trained, crate trained, has heartworm, flea and tick meds. He has a pet plan through end of July. He has pet insurance.

Story
Here's a little about Ogie. He's probably almost a year old. He's a mix with a herding breed (suspected Old English Sheepdog), so he loves being outdoors. I think he would do really well with a) an experienced dog owner and b) an active couple or family with older children (7+ years old). He has a very happy temperament and wants to please. He is super cute, but there's a lot to that cuteness! Some drawbacks: he's a jumper, is high energy, needs regular high intensity exercise, and is only partly potty trained. He poos outside, but I've had trouble training him to consistently pee outside. He is used to using a pee pad (especially overnight). He is very responsive to tone of voice and easily cowers, so you must be cognizant when correcting his behavior. I have given him human food, so he is used to that. I would say he is crate-trained. He will go in his kennel with treats. I crate him when I am gone to work, but he does have separation anxiety. Want to know more... contact me.
