Best Friends Animal Society - Houston

At Best Friends, we pride ourselves on our open adoptions policy. Open adoptions means that anyone 18 years of age or older is able to adopt from us on a first come, first served basis. Interested adopters will submit an adoption survey form and the adoption team will arrange a virtual meeting with the pet so we can help with match making. During the meet & greet, the adopter asks questions about the pet, the foster showcases the amazing qualities of their foster pet, and the adoption team provides medical information, advises on the adoption process, and coordinates next steps. Virtual meet & greets are available seven days a week. All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, and dogs over 6 months have been tested for heartworm disease. Our adoption fees, which are listed below, go directly back to the lifesaving work being done across the nation by Best Friends Animal Society to help the next animal in need. · $100 for dogs six months and older · $150 for puppies under six months old · $50 for adult cats six months old and older · $100 for kittens under six months
