Rescue FAQs

Welcome to Rock N' Rescue! We are a 501c3 cat rescue (and a few dogs!) based in Westchester County NY. Our goal is not only to save the lives of kittens and cats coming from high kill shelters, but to raise awareness of many issues concerning animal welfare. We also have a therapy cat program, providing special cats deemed gentle enough to be able to relieve stress for individuals suffering from illness, PTSD and other stress/trauma in their lives. All of our cats must go to an indoor only home and are not allowed to be declawed (unless they are rescued already declawed). Adopters are encouraged to post happy tales here too! We also are happy to do custom searches if you are looking for a particular breed/mixed breed of cat or dog!

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered - are fully vaccinated - and up to date on necessary vet care. Some animals that are listed are special needs might have chronic problems that the adopter would cover for future vetting, although this is rare.

Many of our animals are in foster care in other states but can be here for an adopter within a few weeks
