Rescue FAQs
We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue, based in central Connecticut, whose mission is to save dogs at risk - from municipal shelters, from pounds, from owner surrenders, from unwanted litters. We are 100% volunteer-staffed and we rely on fosters to keep our dogs safe while we find them suitable forever homes. We are also 100% reliant on donations and fundraising to cover veterinary care for our dogs.

Adoption steps
- Submit Applicationwe promote our adoptable dogs online using Adoptapet and social media, and ask interested parties to submit an application on our website
- Approve ApplicationOnly approved applicants move on to meet and greet
- Meet the Petthis is when we also ask a potential adopter to bring other dogs in the home to ensure there are no issues between the animals
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay Fee
- Take the Pet Homewe often do the adoption (sign contract, provide all vetting paperwork, and collect adoption fee) at the animal's new home
Additional adoption info
We are foster-based so we schedule meet-and-greets with approved applicants, check references, and then provide all vetting paperwork and require a contract at the time adoption donation is made.
