Danbury Animal Welfare Society is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of cats and dogs in need. We are advocates for animal welfare locally and beyond. We offer low cost spay/neuter services to the community.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. We have Adoption Counselors help the applicants find the right match
  2. Submit Application
    1. We check all vet references, landlords and personal references
  3. Interview
  4. Approve Application
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
  7. Take the Pet Home
    1. After dog intro with our trainer if there is a dog already in the home. And we cat test as needed
