Our virtual listings include available pets from multiple municipal animal shelters. Please contact us for location & meeting details!

Submit Application
Applications are specific to each shelter. Adoption fees, hours of operation and locations vary. Please contact us for details & assistance!

Sign Adoption Contract
Georgia requires adopted animals to be spayed/neutered (as gender & age appropriate) and have current rabies vaccinations. We can help!

Take the Pet Home

Silver Comet Animal Welfare Alliance is a regional resource providing support for underserved animals in west Georgia. Each animal showcased will be available for adoption or rescue (after stray hold if applicable) at the county facility where it is legally required to be housed. Each facility has independent operating hours, adoption processes and adoption fees. Some animals may be in foster homes. Visits at the foster home or Crabapple Petco can be scheduled at your convenience. SCAWA volunteers are happy to facilitate placement whenever possible on a case-by-case basis if potential adopters are unable to visit west Georgia shelters during operating hours. We are all-volunteer and 100% of donations are used to help animals in need.
