Shelter FAQs

The Sarnia & District Humane Society is an open door facility which takes in all stray, unwanted or surrendered animals. Each animal that comes into our care is provided all necessary medical treatments, including spay/neuter before being adopted out. We strive to place each animal in a home that will meet their needs for the rest of their life. We uphold all municipal bylaws for Lambton County and also oversee Investigations of Cruelty and Neglect for Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Huron Counties.
