Forgotten Fur Babies's adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We currently do not have a facility and rely on Foster Families. A potential adopter needs to make an appt. & fill out application.

2.

Interview

When meeting the pet they are interested in, we will do an interview.

3.

Home Check

We do require a home check prior to releasing any pet to make sure the home is safe and secure and meets the animal's needs.

4.

Pay Fee

Once we have verified all criteria, adopter will pay required fee and the pet will be released to them.

5.

Take the Pet Home

once they take the pet home, we do ask the adopter to allow us to do a couple of follow up calls or emails to check on the pet.

Additional adoption info

We have invested a lot of time and love into each of these beautiful animals and we have them all microchipped to the rescue. If a pet is ever lost, we do ask the adopter to contact us immediately so we can contact the local shelters, etc.

About Forgotten Fur Babies

We are a very small dedicated group of people with a common goal to save as many animals as we can and find them good homes. We also TNSR as many feral cats as possible to cut down on over population. We also establish and maintain feral colonies to feed, monitor and shelter these poor forgotten ferals in our area.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
