Rescue FAQs

We are a fully accredited 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Austin TX, created to help save the lives of dogs and cats who are at risk of euthanasia.

We shower them with love and provide them with the medical care they need so they can find their forever homes. We do not have a physical shelter. All of our animals are in loving foster homes.

Texas, primarily Austin and the greater Austin Area - Travis County, Williamson County, Caldwell County, Bell County but always consider adopting further out if the home is a great match. We do not do out of state adoptions at this time.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. If you are interested in one of our rescued pets, we ask that you submit a no obligation application so we can learn more about you.
  2. Interview
    1. After you submit your application, a volunteer will set up a brief phone call to tell you what we know about the pet.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. We then arrange to have you meet the pet to see if the pet could be a good fit for your home.
  4. Home Check
    1. If both parties agree it's a good fit, we proceed with an informal home check.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. If everything goes well at the home visit, and both parties agree to proceed, you are invited to sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

All current pets in your home must be up to date on age appropriate shots, heart worm prevention, spayed/neutered, and other veterinary care. We do verify vet references.
