Additional adoption info

Thank you for looking at our pets. We are a foster based organization so appointments are made with a foster parent to visit our animals. Please fill out our adoption inquiry form. It will be forwarded to the foster home and they will contact you.

The adoption fee of each of our animals is listed on their biography page. There will be information listed about the pet on that page as well.

After you have spoken with a foster parent with Hands 'N Paws and have chosen a pet(s), you will be directed to fill out an Adoption Contract. Our adoptions are done on a first come first service basis unless a hold is placed on the pet(s). The hold is for up to 7 days and may be done when the Adoption Contract is submitted. You may place a hold by paying the Hold Fee of $25 per pet. The Hold Fee of $25 is Non-Refundable and will be in addition to the Adoption Fee. You may instead pay the full Adoption Fee which will also hold the pet(s). After 7 days, if the pet(s) have not been picked up, any fees paid will be forfeited and will be considered a donation to Hands 'N Paws Animal Assistance.

The adoption fee may be paid on our website using our Donation Button.

When that is completed, the pick up arrangements can be made and you new family will go home with you.

We do have regular events at Hale's Farm at Feed at 1510 W Basin Street, Ephrata WA on the 2nd and 5th Saturday's of each month from 10am to 2pm. At these events, we will have as many of our animals present so they can be visited with.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Moses Lake, WA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
