Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, Inc. was established in 2014 by a small group of rabbit lovers who met while volunteering at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Over time we saw that rabbits with treatable medical conditions were sometimes candidates for euthanasia because the expense for cure, maintenance, or even end-of-life hospice would be too great for municipal animal shelters to justify. We formed a non-profit 501c (3) rescue organization run entirely by volunteers to provide medical care and rehabilitation for Orange County shelter rabbits. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of treatable rabbits, plus public education regarding proper rabbit care. We rely on public donations. 100% of monies go directly to our bunnies to pay for veterinary care, drugs & medical supplies, hay, pellets, fresh greens, housing, spay/neuter, advertising, event supplies, office supplies, toys and other needed environmental enrichments. The rabbits are housed with foster families during their treatment, rehabilitation, and while waiting for their forever homes.
