Rescue FAQs

We are a network of compassionate individuals that care for homeless paws, in foster homes throughout Southern Ontario, until they can find a new, permanent place to call their own. Shelly Hawley-Yan has more than 20 years experience in rescue, and the team of Debbie Hunt, Vickie Janetos, Andrea Maenza and Dale Reilly add another several decades of combined rescue experience. Our adoptable paws come from shelters where the animals may not have been coping with that environment, or may have been surrendered by people whose lives have changed, All paws have been vet checked and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Adoption involves an interview, a meeting and home visit (in person after Covid, currently virtual), vet references, and an adoption fee.
Our greatest concern is the animals that we care for, and matchmaking is what we do best..
