Athens Animal Rescue Shelter began operations on April 1, 2020, taking over the municipal shelter in Athens, Texas. In a short period of time and saddled with COVID challenges, we had completely transformed the shelter within a couple of months. We are happy to help adopters find the perfect pet for their family!
