Rescue FAQs

Friends with Four Paws is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1998. It was originally formed to rescue animals at the Chickasha Animal Shelter from imminent death due to overcrowding. We focused on having mobile adoption locations and providing foster care for dogs and cats. Since that time, we have found many dogs and cats their perfect forever homes and kept them from being sent to the Rainbow Bridge. Since our beginning, Friends with Four Paws has expanded to take in dogs and cats from other shelters including the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.

Additional adoption info

We are a small rescue group run by volunteers. We will respond to adoption applications in the order as we received them. There will be phone interview, reference check (including vet and landlord verification)
