Rescue FAQs

We are a 501c3 rescue based in the Charlotte, NC area saving boxers in need in North and South Carolina from shelters and owner surrenders when the family can no longer care for them.

All of our rescues are brought up to date on all vaccines, spayed/neutered prior to adoption, Heartworm tested (they are treated if they test positive), and put on Heartworm & flea prevention. They also get any medical care or surgeries needed while in our care.
North & South Carolina

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. We require all pets in the home to be UTD on all vax, spayed/neutered and on HW preventative. They must provide 2 personal & 1 vet reference
  2. Home Check
    1. A rescue volunteer performs a home visit to ensure clean, safe environment and if they would feel comfortable leaving their pet in the home.
  3. Approve Application
    1. If references and home check are satisfactory, the application is approved we proceed looking for the right fit for the dog and the family
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. Adopter's family including any resident pet(s) must meet to ensure compatibility. If it isn't a match we continue looking for the right fit
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. A detailed adoption contract is sent to them prior to adoption that must be signed and adoption fee paid before taking possession of the dog
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. If your meet and greet goes well, you'll sign the electronic Adoption Agreement, pay the adoption fee on your phone & take the dog jhome.
  7. Take the Pet Home
    1. Congratulations, you're all set! It's time to take your new dog home with you.

Additional adoption info

We are very thorough in vetting applicants and go through the process quickly so the applicant isn't waiting a long period of time prior to a decision. We have stipulations that must be agreed to in order to protect the boxer including reclaiming the boxer if abuse or neglect is evident
