Additional adoption info
Our adoption process starts when we receive your adoption application. We will touch base to let you know we have received your application, then we check references and call your vet to make sure your other animals are up to date. One of our volunteers will do a home visit with you. We try to be timely letting you know if you are approved but since we are volunteer-run, it can take approximately 1-2 weeks for us to complete these steps (rarely more). Once you have been approved, your dog’s adoption fee is paid, and you’ve signed your adoption contract, you are ready to welcome your new family member!
