Shelter FAQs

Spencer County Animal Shelter is a no-kill facility with only 16 dog kennels. We currently do not have the ability to take in cats. Due to limited space, we try to get all dogs fostered, adopted, or in rescue as soon as possible. If you are a legitimate rescue and interested in pulling a dog, please send us a message. There is no pull fee for rescues.
