Operation Freedom Ride, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer driven organization that rescues dogs (and cats, too). Based in Rochester, NY our mission is to help animals find the right person to love and care for them. We rescue an estimated 550 dogs and 330 cats, annually, and that number is growing!

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Please visit our website at https://operationfreedomride.com/adopt/ to complete our adoption application.
  2. Interview
    1. After your application is reviewed, a representative from Operation Freedom Ride will call you to conduct an interview.
  3. Approve Application
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. OFR wants to be sure you and a prospective pet are the best match. We set-up meet and greets at the foster home to make sure it's love!
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
  7. Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.
