Shelter FAQs

Pioneer Humane Society/Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter is a local, private, non-profit 501(c)3 animal shelter located in Pendleton, Oregon. Founded in 1975 by a group of compassionate citizens, we are dedicated to helping homeless, lost, and at-risk animals and pet owners in our town and surrounding areas. This is our separate account for cats we adopt out at the Clackamas, Oregon, Petco and is used to promote some pets located in our Pendleton location as well, see each pet's description for location.
