Rescue FAQs

Blue Ridge Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is a No Kill Rescue focusing on the adoption and care of homeless pets. Over population and community need drives our mission and desire to help the neglected animals in the more rural and under-served areas.
Blue Ridge Animal Rescue serves mainly the tri-state area, but are open to adoptions out of the area. Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, Southern Indiana are the closest areas, but will adopt to any location if the application is approved and the family commits to traveling to our location for the meet and greet.

Blue Ridge Animal Rescue staff has decades of experience in the animal and medical industry and is adamant about matching the adoptable animal with the appropriate family environment. Each animal is reviewed individually for their specific needs and matched accordingly. We are a newly founded rescue and in the process of obtaining our 501(c)(3) standing. We are excited to start this process and already have animals in the program in search of committed, loving homes!
