Additional adoption info
Our adoption application is easy and helps staff understand the qualities you are looking for in your new pet. You can complete the adoption application online, at home or at the shelter. You may be interested in a certain animal or we can help you find good match for you and your lifestyle. Our goal is to make the best choice possible to ensure the animals’ health, safety and happiness. We also want our adopters to be able to make an informed choice and adopt the animal that is the best fit for their family.
You are encouraged to fill out the adoption application at our shelter during regular business hours. If you wish to get a head start or live out of town, please use the online link to get the process started.
For any questions, or if you wish to received an emailed form, contact Janette at adopt@sdheartlandhumanesociety.com.
