The Little Ones Animal Center's adoption process

1.

Submit Application

advertise dog, and we except adoption applications. We select the best 3 families who will do the meet & greet based on the dogs needs!

2.

Interview

If the application is approved we do the first meet and greet and home inspection. I also, do a basic background check.

3.

Meet the Pet

if the first meet & greet goes well and the dog approves of the human, we do a 2nd meet & greet and if that is better than the first we sign

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

The next day we deliver the dog to his new home, by now it is comfortable because he has been there 3x. We want the dog to transition well.

5.

Take the Pet Home

We call to make sure that everything went well for the dogs first night.

Additional adoption info

We are very thorough and take the responsibility of each dogs life very seriously! Because they are fostered in our own homes we get very attached and want the best for each dog!

About The Little Ones Animal Center

We are The Little Ones Animal Center and we believe that ALL Life is precious! That is part of our mission statement. We are a 501C3 and have been rescuing dogs and some cats for 5 years!
I believe in the foster system, I feel that dogs heal fast and know that they are truly loved while been in our care. We are not a numbers rescue, sometimes some of these little ones have taken 2 years to heal enough to be adopted and if they never get to that point, it all good we keep them! I know I was created to rescue these precious little ones and I love every minute of it!

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
