Rescue FAQs

Tampa Bay Strays, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 2022 and located in Tampa, Florida. We are dedicated to providing a safe, temporary, loving home for lost, abandoned, stray or otherwise homeless cats and dogs in the Tampa Bay area. We provide medical care, vaccinations, spay / neuter, medical procedures, and testing of animals in our care, and facilitate the adoption of animals in the care of our foster volunteers to permanent, loving homes. As a no-kill organization we do NOT euthanize unless medically necessary under exigent circumstances. We promote spay / neuter practices to provide longevity of good health, disease deterrence and control the overpopulation of stray cats and dogs. As we are not government subsidized, we depend on the generosity of private donors and corporate sponsors who share our altruistic beliefs and goals.

Additional adoption info

Tampa Bay Strays is a network of foster homes, and all animals are under the care of a foster. Occasionally, we will utilize local adoption centers located in pet stores or other areas, where you may meet available kitties and adopt in-store! Please visit our website and follow us on facebook/instagram to stay in the "know" for upcoming adoption events!
