Rescue FAQs
Our Mission is to end dog homelessness in North Carolina. We save Lab Mixes and other dogs from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and high-kill shelters.
We place dogs all over the country but you must come to Apex, NC to meet the foster and pick up the dog. We do not ship dogs.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Application and more info may be found at: peaklabrescue.com/adopt. Please allow 24 hours for your application to be reviewed.
- Meet the Pet
- If approved, you will be given the foster's contact info. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. You must come to Apex, NC (near Raleigh) to meet in person.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- If it's a match you can take your dog home that day. Our Adoption Fee is $375 and you must complete and sign our Adoption Agreement.
- Take the Pet Home
- If you return the dog within 7 days of adoption you may receive a refund of $300. A $75 administrative fee is required to cover our costs.
