Rescue FAQs
We are a home based foster rescue organization, we do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are in private foster homes where they are healthy and socially active. We are better able to explain their personality and behavior.
We rescue dogs from the streets of San Antonio, Texas who have been dumped and abandoned as well as pull them from our very high kill city shelter. We also rescue dogs from surrounding counties and take owner surrenders.
We rescue dogs because of the passion in our hearts to help the voiceless when they need help the most. We are rewarded with great, happy and grateful dogs.

Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationIf you see a dog you would like to adopt, please go to my website roxysk9rescue.org and complete an application. Thank you.
- InterviewFor anyone out of state we will do a phone or Facetime interview so you can go over all of your concerns.
- Approve ApplicationOnce you have met the requirements & picked a dog that matches your lifestyle, your application will be approved and you are a step closer.
- Take the Pet HomeTransportation will be secured to get your new pet to you. Transportation fees are included in the adoption fee. Thank you.
