Rescue FAQs

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Carefully review the profile of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting to determine if it’s the right fit and submit an application.
  2. Interview
    1. Our team will review the application to determine suitability. If selected, one of our volunteers will contact you for the next step.
  3. Home Check
    1. Following a satisfactory interview and home check, a volunteer will complete all necessary reference checks
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. If approved, the adopter must sign the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee accordingly.
  5. Meet the Pet
    1. Once all documentation is complete and the initial deposit is confirmed, one of our volunteers will arrange the travel plan for the dog.
