Rescue FAQs

RVA Street Bunny Society is a volunteer-led organization whose mission is to recover dumped domestic rabbits in Central VA, providing veterinary care, safe placement in foster and adoptive homes, and community education.
We serve all of Central VA, primarily Richmond but including Roanoke, Petersburg, Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, Farmville, Lynchburg, and Charlottesville.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
  2. Interview
    1. This is over Zoom, and takes ~30 minutes.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. We require a home visit for fosters and adopters.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
  5. Pay Fee
    1. Our adoption fee is $150 per bunny.
  6. Take the Pet Home
