About Parade Of Paws Rescue

Hello, everyone my name is Ronda Merson. I am the founder of the non-profit organization Parade of Paws Rescue. I have been an animal lover and owner personally and with my family of a menagerie of species over the years since I was born. My family has owned exotic pets of all forms - farm animals and domestic animals - since I could remember. My journey into learning and experiencing the needs of shelter dogs began back in 2017 when I was in search of my dog who had busted through a glass window on July 1, 2017 and disappeared into the night on our dog sitter. My endless search for my missing pup in over 5 shelters daily was horrific. The heartache and awareness of the a lot of different issues of lost and found pets was unbearable. I was ignorant to the human disregard of wonderful lives and to the volume to which it occurred. I was in a shelter where I encountered a networker who stated that two beautiful dogs I was admiring were going to be killed that day as the interested rescue had no foster placement for them to go once they exited. Well, needless to say...there it started. I fostered, trained and socialized these two unsocialized and untrained pups to wherein they became my trainer pups for newcomers! I began assisting various rescues with fostering and socializing and adoption transitions. I decided to branch out and take the reins and start my own rescue organization. Parade of Paws Rescue was then established in December of 2021. The fight is HARD, much harder than 99% of the public realizes, but it is a fight we must win! Please join us in our mission to save lives, spread awareness and change the future where the fight should never be this HARD ever again.

Parade Of Paws Rescue's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Bellflower, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
