Find My Dog A Home's adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Call me at (619)763-2955. I will email an application for you to fill out and email back. I will call you back for a meet n greet with dog

2.

Interview

I will meet at a neutral agreed upon place for you to meet the dog. Ill follow up with reference checks (professional, personal, or vet)

3.

Home Check

I will come to your residence to check that it is a suitable environment where a dog can thrive.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

If everything checks out, come sign the adoption contract and pick up the dog in PB, San Diego. Bring a collar/harness and leash.

Additional adoption info

We will want follow up photos and updates to make sure you are adjusting well to each other. If for some reason it doesn’t work out, please return the dog to us.

About Find My Dog A Home

Our goal is to improve and save dogs lives. We are located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, and rescue dogs from Southern California and Mexico.
We help stray, rescue, and shelter dogs by providing transportation, medical, boarding, food and supplies and other necessities to make them more adoptable.
We also find new loving homes for dogs that people can no longer keep.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
