The rescue dogs listed here are available for adoption in Texas (or nearby states) and are fostered by our volunteers in these states. Dogs listed as Courtesy Posts are not being fostered in a Russell Rescue, Inc. foster home. Russell Rescue, Inc. has been approved as a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. The first step in adopting a rescue dog from Russell Rescue, Inc. is to complete the adoption application at the link below.
  2. Interview
    1. Once your adoption application is submitted, someone with Russell Rescue, Inc. will contact you.
  3. Home Check
    1. You will be required to provide a vet reference and allow us to send a volunteer to your home.
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. Once you are approved to adopt from Russell Rescue, Inc., arrangements will be made for a meet-and-greet with your dog's foster parent.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. You are required to sign an adoption contract with Russell Rescue, Inc.
  6. Pay Fee
    1. All of our Russell Rescue, Inc. dogs are fully vetted and spayed or neutered. The adoption fee is $275, unless otherwise noted.
  7. Take the Pet Home
    1. You are on your way home with your Jack Russell! Give them some time to adjust to their new surroundings. Contact us with any questions.

Additional adoption info

You must complete an adoption application in order to adopt one of our Russell Rescue, Inc. Jack Russells. All applicants are thoroughly screened and must meet certain qualifications before adopting a terrier from Russell Rescue, Inc. All of our rescue dogs are fully vetted and spayed or neutered. The adoption fee is $275, unless otherwise noted.
