Rescue FAQs

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue whose mission is to help unwanted animals in situations that could lead to harm or euthanasia. We primarily focus on animals with major medical illnesses, injuries or advanced age that are often overlooked and usually the first to be at risk of euthanasia. By partnering with shelters and the public, we promote responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter, and the adoption of special needs pets. It is our goal to save the un-savable!
Mutt Misfits is a foster-based, volunteer-driven, no kill rescue based in the Oklahoma City area. We rescue pets primarily from Central Oklahoma shelters but have saved pets across the state and beyond. We serve adopters in the greater Oklahoma City area and within Oklahoma. We are willing to consider out-of-state adoptions for the right fit for our pets and have adopted out of state many times!
