Rescue FAQs

Saint Gertrude Rescue is a small, non-profit kitten rescue serving the Birmingham and Huntsville areas in Alabama. We lovingly guide abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens towards their intended forever family. After rescue, these little innocent angels are hand-raised in foster care. Many require constant care and attention. They are given abundant love, nurtured, socialized, and all health and veterinary needs are attended to. We follow the prayer of our beloved St. Gertrude of Nivelles: “…God has graced us with the love of his heavenly creatures. We pray for the protection of our dearly beloved pets…with the love of all beings.”
