I have been rescuing cocker spaniels since 1989 one cocker at a time. I have pulled them from shelters to get them homes. Helped families when owners of cockers have passed away to get homes, or when’s family were going to turn their cocker over to a shelter. I do this for cockers because working at shelters years ago I saw so many good dogs euthanized in shelters for reasons like space needed.

I let the new adopter and the family meet the dog and I observe the interaction, making sure it is positive, and the dog is comfortable and doesn’t show any anxiety.
