Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
Once off their stray hold & in good health, all pets are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no holds can be placed.
  2. Meet the Pet
All adopters must complete a meet-n-greet. If you have a dog, a meet-n-greet with your dog and the one you're interested in is required.
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
If you're considering adopting an animal with a bite history, we will coordinate the adoption through a local rescue organization.
  4. Pay Fee
If you take home an animal with a bite history, no fee is required and adoption is facilitated through a local rescue.
  5. Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Adoptions are first come, first served. We are unable to place holds on pets.

If you already have a dog at home and are interested in adopting another, a meet & greet is required to ensure both dogs are a good match. For safety, we do not co-mingle dogs at our facility.

All pets are spayed/neutered before going to their new home. Each pet receives age-appropriate vaccinations and a microchip, provided it was safe to perform these procedures.

If any vaccinations or the microchip could not be completed before adoption due to safety concerns, you will receive paperwork to bring to a veterinarian to have these services completed.

Every adoption includes a folder with helpful resources—training tips, local coupons, and other goodies to help you and your new pet start strong together!
