Rescue FAQs

At Helen's Healing Animal Rescue, our hearts beat for one purpose: to end unnecessary euthanasias and ensure every dog and cat in our community finds love and a forever home. As founders and passionate animal advocates, Helen and Terri are dedicated to serving our neighbors and their furry friends. Our mission is deeply personal. We believe every animal deserves compassion, care and a chance at happiness. That's why we're committed to reducing the homeless animal population, supporting lower-income pet owners and promoting responsible pet ownership. Through education, resource provision and community engagement, we empower families to keep their beloved pets safe, healthy and by their side. As a foster-based rescue, we rely on the generosity of foster homes and volunteers to bring our mission to life. These selfless individuals provide temporary sanctuary, love and rehabilitation to rescued animals, nurturing them back to health and happiness. Without our foster network, we couldn't rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the animals who need us most. We're not just rescuing animals; we're building a safety net for our community. Our free microchipping events bring peace of mind to pet owners, ensuring swift reunions if their companion goes missing. Our pet food pantry provides essential nutrition, alleviating financial burdens on families. Medical assistance and educational resources help overcome obstacles, strengthening the bond between pets and owners. Our values are simple yet unwavering: compassion drives every decision, community support fuels our mission and education illuminates the path forward. We advocate tirelessly for animal welfare, knowing that together, we can create a world where every pet thrives. Join us in this journey, and together, let's weave a tapestry of love, kindness and second chances. Whether you're a potential foster, volunteer, adopter or supporter, your contribution can transform lives.
