We're a veteran-owned, no-kennel sanctuary on five acres in Catawba, North Carolina. We take in the dogs other places give up on. The ones labeled too much, too damaged, too far gone. The ones who ran out of time.

Here, they don't live in cages. They live in a home, on the land, with people who learn who they really are.

We believe a dog isn't broken just because it's been misunderstood. Most of these dogs were never given the right person, the right pace, or the right second chance. So we slow down. We match carefully. We let the dog choose its people back, not just the other way around.

We're a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and every adoption and every dollar goes straight back into the next dog waiting. If you're here, you're already the kind of person we're looking for. Come meet them.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    Browse our adoptable dogs and learn about their unique personalities and needs to find the perfect fit for your home.
  2. Submit Application
    Complete our online adoption application. This helps us ensure that you and your potential new pet are a great match.
  3. Home Check
    For the safety of the pet, we may perform a quick home check to confirm it’s a safe environment. Once approved, you'll finalize the adoption
  4. Home Check
    A quick look to make sure your space is safe and ready. Not about perfect. About making sure your new dog can settle in and thrive.
  5. Meet the Pet
    We set up visits on the dog's timeline. Some know right away. Some need a few visits. We give them the time they need to feel safe.
  6. Approve Application
    Once we know it's the right fit for both of you, we make it official. This is the part where you exhale. You found each other.
  7. Sign Adoption Contract
    A simple agreement that you'll care for your dog and come back to us if you ever need help. We don't disappear after you go home.
