Rescue FAQs

PAWSITIVELY RESCUED SC is a 100% volunteer foster-based 501(c)(3) non profit rescue. We primarily served the Horry and Georgetown SC counties but we are willing to travel up to 1 hour for in-home adoptions. In home adoptions are required. Our main goal it to keep as many dogs as possible from ever entering a shelter. Most of our dogs come from homes where the owners are no longer physically capable of caring for their dogs, are going into long-term care or have passed away. We also pull from shelter where the dogs are not doing well in the shelter environment or at risk of euthanasia. We keep our dogs for as long as it takes to get the know them and to work on any issues they may have in order for them to thrive in their new home. We do everything possible to match the right dog with the right family. We want our dogs to be in their FUREVER home. This is only possible if everyone in the home including the current animals are happy with the new dog being there.
Primary Horry and Georgetown Counties also areas within 1 hour from the Myrtle Beach area.

Additional adoption info

We do not have a facility for interested adopters to see our available dogs. We hold MEET OUR ADOPTABLES events periodically to give people the chance to meet our furbabies in person. Checking our website and our Facebook page is the best way to know who adoptables are.
