Rescue FAQs

Skyway Cats Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by a small group of volunteers who manage several cat colonies in the Tampa Bay area. Together, we care for the colony at the South Skyway Fishing Pier and, individually, we manage colonies in St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach, Tampa, Tarpon Springs, Venice, and Riverview. We provide food, shelter, and medical care for over 80 cats. We practice TNR (trap-neuter-return) in our colonies, neutering/spaying and vaccinating unsocialized cats whose home is outdoors. We are not a rescue and are unable to take cats from the public, but we often find friendly cats and kittens in our colonies and foster them until we can get them homes.
