Little Acorn Animal Refuge

At Little Acorn Animal Refuge, our mission is to provide compassionate care and safe haven for displaced, injured, and orphaned animals. As a non-profit organization serving Liberty Hill, Georgetown, Leander, and surrounding communities, we are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need. We offer a safe place for found creatures, bottle-feed orphaned kittens and puppies, and route wildlife to appropriate licensed refuges when needed. With specialized experience in caring for a variety of birds, including parrots, we ensure they receive proper housing, diet, and handling during their stay. In addition to hands-on care, we serve as a community resource—guiding the public in how to respond when they encounter injured or displaced wildlife and helping direct them to the proper local rehabilitators. We also offer behavioral guidance to owners of dogs, cats and birds that are at risk for being re-homed, using a positive reinforcement and life enrichment approach. Driven by kindness, knowledge, and community support, we welcome local volunteers to join us in making a meaningful difference—one little life at a time.
