The Lewis County Animal Shelter houses stray, homeless and unwanted animals. The Shelter strives to find all adoptable pets a lifetime home and promote responsible pet ownership through education and outreaches.

The Shelter does offer a disposal service of deceased cats and dogs for a small fee. The shelter will not pick-up deceased animals.
The 5000 sq. ft. Animal Shelter facility was constructed in 1980 and provides indoor/outdoor kennels for dogs and cages for cats, a quarantine area and a surgery room. A stable/corral area (for large animals and livestock) was constructed in 1991. The physical address for the Animal Shelter is 560 Centralia Alpha Road, Centralia, 98531 and the mailing address is PO Box 367, Chehalis, WA 98532. Phone number is 360-740-1290.
