Additional adoption info
All of our animals are rehabbed and socialized in foster homes, so we're usually able to give you great detail about the animals' behavior, temperament, etc. Our adoption process is like most rescue groups. First you must fill out an Adoption Application (please go to our website www,artanimals.org and fill one out online). Second we do a vet reference and personal reference check. If references are good a home visit is done. If the home visit checks out, you usually get the dog (depends on the amount of applications for that dog) and pay the adoption fee. Our fee is usually $100 for dogs and $75 for cats, our animals have already been altered, and are current on shots and heartworm preventative. Furthermore, every penny goes toward the care/rehab of the animals. Our animals are in foster homes, all over Tidewater. Let us know the animal that interests you, and we'll connect you to that foster home. If you'd like a copy of our adoption application to fill out, please email us and we'll send you one.
