Shelter FAQs

Franklin County Humane Society Inc. operates Planned Pethood Clinic, a low cost spay/neuter facility. Our mission is to stop pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering. We fundraise to subsidize the cost of the spay/neuter surgeries to keep prices as low as possible. Our Adoption Center provides a second chance for many wonderful animals. Support our cause by shopping at our Purrfect Treasures store for wonderful home decor items and furniture, dishes and glassware, rugs, jewelry, unique collectibles, yard sale treasures and much more.
We are located 2 miles north of Rocky Mount, Virginia. We do not have a geographical restriction for our spay/neuter services and serve all of the surrounding area. Our rescue efforts are primarily focused on Franklin County, Virginia.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and breed. We do require an adoption application and interview.
