Additional adoption info

If you have decided to adopt a Weim, we assume you have taken the time to CAREFULLY research the breed, and know that this is the breed for you. If not, please take the time to do so before you fill out an application, on which you will be asked questions about Weimaraners in general to ensure you are the right home for a Weim!

The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application – Completing the application does NOT imply that you will get a rescue dog, it is the first step to finding a rescue Weimaraner’s forever home.

We do allow adoptions out of New York State, however, you must complete the adoption process and you must also be willing to sign a contract that, if for any reason, the adoption does not work out that you will return the dog to New York State Weimaraner Rescue at your expense.

New York State Weimaraner Rescue operates completely on donations and volunteers. We do ask for an Adoption Donation for every dog placed. The donation is set on the age, health, and vet bills we have incurred with the Weims. The donations range from $100-$450. To see our available pets you must follow us on Facebook to see their posts as they become available.
